Readable systems
I like software that stays understandable after the first rush of shipping. Clear boundaries and sensible trade-offs matter more than cleverness.
Prague, Czechia
This is my small corner of the internet. I’ve spent the last decade building web applications and backend systems across finance, aviation, commerce, and analytics. These days I’m at Workday, working mostly with Kotlin, Spring, and security-sensitive product engineering.
Approach
I like software that stays understandable after the first rush of shipping. Clear boundaries and sensible trade-offs matter more than cleverness.
Security is important, but I prefer it as part of normal engineering work instead of a performance. Good habits beat loud language.
I enjoy understanding why something exists, who it is for, and which compromises are actually worth making before writing much code.
Background
People Analytics
Working mostly on backend systems with Kotlin and Spring, with a fair amount of time spent on performance, security-related work, and making product decisions hold up in practice.
Senior Software Engineer, AVP
Built services for a publishing platform used by analysts, contributing across backend and frontend layers with Spring, Angular, TypeScript, MongoDB, and SQL Server.
Senior Software Engineer
Worked on airline network operations software with Java, Go, Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, RabbitMQ, and Azure in a microservices environment.
Commerce, plugins, automation, and startup work
Built B2B commerce features, Atlassian ecosystem plugins, and deployment automation, while also contributing to startup and education-focused software projects earlier in the journey.
Tools
A lot of my day-to-day work lives in backend services and product infrastructure. The exact tools shift over time, but these are the ones I keep coming back to.
