This is my small corner of the internet. I’ve spent the last decade building web applications and backend systems across finance, aviation, commerce, and analytics. These days I’m at Workday, building backend systems with Kotlin and Spring. Alongside product engineering, I work as a Security Champion and help bring AI agents into engineering workflows and the product itself.

A few things I tend to care about.
Readable systems
I like software that stays understandable after the first rush of shipping. Clear boundaries and sensible trade-offs matter more than cleverness.
Security without drama
Security is important, but I prefer it as part of normal engineering work instead of a performance. Good habits beat loud language.
Staying close to the product
I enjoy understanding why something exists, who it is for, and which compromises are actually worth making before writing much code.

Workday

Working on backend systems with Kotlin and Spring, with time spent on performance, security-sensitive product engineering, and making product decisions hold up in practice. My Security Champion responsibilities sit alongside my work on AI adoption and agent infrastructure.
Getting agentic tools approved. Around two years ago, I secured Workday’s first approval for an agentic coding tool, Cline, coordinating with the security and open-source teams to complete the review and approval process.
Reducing token overhead. Adapted token-saving tools such as RTK for internal use and secured their approval. This substantially reduced the tokens consumed by verbose output from Gradle test runs in AI-assisted workflows.
Automating recurring work. Continue to turn internal engineering workflows into reusable agent skills, so routine tasks can be carried out consistently rather than repeated manually.
Supporting an agent-driven product. Help build the infrastructure that supports our application’s evolution into an AI agent.
